This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 03.08.2023 passed in W.P(MD)No.18730 of 2023. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3.As per the G.O.(D)No.19, Home (Prison-IV) Department, 08.01.2024, the request for premature release was rejected and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this contempt petition.

4.In view of the above, this contempt petition is closed. It is always open to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order in a proper proceedings.
