ORDER : The Court made the following order :- 1/4

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 29.12.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 109(1),126(b), 296(b), 324(4), 351(3) of BNS and Section 4 Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, in Crime No. 320 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner with other accused persons had wrongfully retained the de-facto complainant and abused him using filthy language and also criminally intimidated the de-facto complainant. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offences as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 29.12.2025. Hence, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner was detained under the Tamilnadu Act 14 of 1982.

5.Recording the above said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the appropriate forum to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
