O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter, the detenue herein, namely, Suganthi, aged about 22 years before this Court and set her at liberty.
2.The petitioner would state that his daughter, the detenue has completed B.Lit Tamil Literature at Sentamil College, Madurai and she was found missing from 01.01.2021. Hence, he lodged a complaint 1/3
with the second respondent on 04.01.2021 and the same was registered in Crime No.9 of 2021 under 'women missing'. Since no action was taken to secure and trace the detenue, he has filed this present habeas corpus petition.
3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the detenue appeared before this Court along with one Saravanan through video conferencing from Cheyyar Police Station, Thiruvannamalai District and she would state that she married the said Saravanan on 02.01.2021 at Pachaiammal Kovil, Sethupet and she is not willing to go with her father, the petitioner herein.
4.In the light of the above statement, we find no merits in this habeas corpus petition and hence, the same is dismissed.
