The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the claim of seniority made by the writ petitioner has become unnecessary at this length of time, in view of the fact, he has already retired from service and hence, the cause arose for filing of the present writ petition does not exist as of now.

2. In view of the above submissions, nothing survives for consideration in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. No costs.
