Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to change the guideline value for the S.No.910/1C2, Mangalam Village, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District which is wrongly entered as "0" value, after considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.12.2021 within a stipulated period of time to be fixed by this Court. ORDER
A representation has been filed by the petitioner on 03.12.2021 expressing, shock that the guideline value with respect to lands in S.No.910/1 C 2 in Mangalam Village, Sivakasi Taluk in Virudhunagar 1/3
District, had been shown as zero in the registers maintained by the Sub-Registrar, Kunnur, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District. 2.The petitioner had claimed that he had inherited the property and thereafter, he had examined the guideline value in order to deal with the said property and then found that the guideline value had been given as zero.
3.Heard Mr.M.Thirunavukkarasu, learned Counsel who appears for the petitioner and also Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader who appears for the respondents.
4.Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader stated that he had an interaction with the official respondents and they also stated that owing to some error, the guideline value has been given as zero and that necessary steps have been taken to rectify the same and give an appropriate value in the guideline register. 5.I am confident that such steps will be taken and equally aware that the focus of the revenue officials will be to address the issue relating to the elections, which have been now announced and therefore, after that entire process is completed namely, after 22.02.2022, within a period of twelve weeks from that particular date, let an order be passed on the representation given by the petitioner.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
