O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking modification of patta in the name of petitioner for Survey Nos.535/8A, 649/1, 535/2, 564/3A, 563/1, 563/3, 563/7A1, 564/1, 564/2, 568/2 and 603 situated at Padathal Village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, by considering his representation dated 08.07.2022.

2. The petitioner seeks the indulgence of this Court to direct the official respondents to modify the patta in the name of the petitioner for the properties above referred to, based on his representation dated 08.07.2022.

3. Learned counsel for the fourth respondent submits that the civil dispute relating to the subject property is still pending before the competent civil court.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3, submits that the second respondent would consider the petitioner's grievance and after conducting an inquiry and providing a reasonable opportunity to all the parties concerned, appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2022 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after conducting an inquiry and providing a reasonable opportunity to all parties concerned. In the event any rival claim arises during the course of the inquiry, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. There shall be no order as to costs.
