ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to secure the body or person of the detenue, the petitioner's daughter Muthumariyammal aged about 19 years D/o.Murugan before this Court and set her at liberty. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter namely, Muthumariyammal, who is working as a staff Nurse in Shifa Hospital, was abducted by the third respondent and that her whereabouts were not known and thereby, the present petition has been filed seeking aforesaid prayer.

3.This morning it was reported by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the respondent police have secured the detenue and thereby, the matter was listed in the additional list and taken up for hearing in post-lunch. The detenue was produced before this Court. This Court enquired the girl and she stated that she is aged about 19 years and that she is in love with one Kaviraja, son of Thinakaran, who resides at Perumalkovilpatti and on her own volition, she has eloped with the said Kaviraja and that they have https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1090 of 2020 also entered into a marriage agreement. She further stated that she is a major and she can decide on her own and that she does not want to go with her mother.
