: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the third respondent to file a final report in Crime NO. 575 of 2014 pending before him and pass such other or further order as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumferences of the case.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this application under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking a direction to the third respondent to file a final report in Crime N0. 575 of 2014 pending before him.

2. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.575 of 2014 on 13.010.2014 for the offences under Sections 420 and 406 IPC. But, the respondent has not shown any interest to investigate the matter and hence, the learned counsel seeks for a direction directing the third respondent to complete the investigation within the stipulated time and file a final report. 4.

Resisting the same, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that investigation is going on and hence, he prays for six months to complete the investigation and file a final report.

Considering the representation made by both sides and considering the facts that the occurrence has taken place on 17.05.2013 and the complaint has been given on 07.02.2014 and after due enquiry, the case has been registered on 13.10.2014, this Court grants three months to the third respondent to complete the investigation. Hence, the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.575 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and file a final report.

6. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
