O R D E R

The petitioner seeks the death certificate for his father, whose names are Ulakkan @ Karuppan Muthiriyar @ Karuppan, and who died on 05.12.1999. To examine this particular aspect, the District Revenue Officer is the competent authority. Suo-motu the District Revenue Officer, Trichy District, is impleaded as a fourth respondent in the writ petition.

2. The Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendment in the writ petition before issuing the order copy. 2/5

3. The petitioner may give a fresh representation to the District Revenue Officer, Trichy District, enclosing all the relevant documents and if the representation is given, the fourth respondent may conduct necessary enquiry, obtain report from the Village Administrative Officer and thereafter, pass necessary orders. The said exercise must be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of the representation given by the petitioner herein.

4. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
