ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the final report in C.C.No.143 of 2019, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Karur, filed for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 506(i) of IPC r/w Section 67 of Information Technology Act, 2000.

2.The allegation in the final report appears to be with regard to the abusive statements made by the petitioner against the defacto complainant.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (18.03.2022), both the petitioner and the defacto complainant are present and they are identified by their respective learned counsel. They have filed joint compromise memo, stating that they compromised the issue, as the allegations are simple in nature. As the affected party is entered into compromise and has agreed not to proceed further, there is no point in continuing the prosecution. The joint compromise memo is taken on file.

CRL.O.P.[MD].No.1275 of 2020 4.In such view of the matter, the final report in C.C.No.143 of 2019, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Karur is quashed and accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
