O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to register a case based upon the complaint given by the petitioner dated 04.11.2017.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that one Visalatchi introduced the second respondent to the petitioner and the second respondent has stated that he was doing diamond business and hence the petitioner gave an order for a diamond bracelet worth about Rs.3,65,000/- and also gave a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- through a cheque, but, subsequently, the second respondent neither delivered the diamond bracelet nor returned the amount. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 04.11.2017, but sofar, no action has been taken.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that enquiry is still pending.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the first respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry. If the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law.

5.With the aforesaid observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
