Prayer in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.19300 of 2022:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the District and Sessions Court for the Exclusive Trial of PCR Cases (PCR Court), Madurai, to consider the Petitioner's bail application on the same day of his surrender in Crime No.341 of 2022.

ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/s. S. Poornachandran, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. R. Sivakumar, Government Advocate on behalf of the 1st & 2nd respondents, this Court made the following order:

The above petition has been filed to extend the time in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.19300 of 2022 dated 14.11.2022 for surrender before the learned District and Sessions Judge for the Exclusive Trial of PCR Cases (PCR Court), Madurai.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner could not surrender before the concerned Court within the stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner is granted 10 days extra time from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to surrender before the learned District and Sessions Judge for the Exclusive Trial of PCR Cases (PCR Court), Madurai. On such surrender, the learned Sessions Judge is directed to consider the same as per law.
