Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records comprised in proceedings of the first respondent bearing No.R/49/MKU/2019 dated 31.05.2019 and quash the same and consequently directing the respondents to issue a fresh notification for recruitment/appointment for the post of Registrar in the Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai.

ORDER

The petitioner is aggrieved against his non-approving in the selection process for the post of Registrar in the respondent University and as such, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.Pending this writ petition, it is stated that the punishment earlier imposed on him discharging him from service of the University, has been quashed by this Court on 24.01.2020 passed in W.P(MD).No.19440 of 2019.

W.P(MD)No.1541 of 2020 3.In this background, today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the respondent University would submit that the University had taken a decision to permit the petitioner to participate in the selection process in general and for interview to be held on 29.01.2020 in particular. 4.In view of such a submission made, the petitioner may not have any further grievance.

5.Regarding the submission made by the learned Senior counsel for the respondent University, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
