O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking to quash the proceedings in P.R.C.No.13 of 2013 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Oddanchathiram. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the State and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent/defacto complainant. The petitioner and the second respondent are present before this Court. 3.The petitioner, who is arrayed as sole accused in Crime No.68 of 2013 for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 336 & 506(i) IPC r/w Section 3(1)(x) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. After completion of investigation, the respondent filed charge sheet and the same was taken on file in P.R.C.No.13 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Oddanchathiram.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, a Compromise Memo dated 24.07.2015 has been filed, duly signed by the parties and attested by the learned counsel, stating that there is no need to proceed further. The parties, who are also present before this Court, reiterated the same. 5.Considering the submissions made and after going through the relevant documents including the offences alleged against the petitioner, this Court is inclined to quash the proceedings as no useful purpose would be served by keeping the proceedings any longer. Accordingly, the proceedings in P.R.C.No.13 of 2013 on the file of the learned Judicial https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Magistrate, Oddanchathiram, is quashed. The compromise memo shall form part of record. This petition is ordered.
