PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent in Detention Order No.94/2024 dated 23.12.2024 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Ramar, S/o.Ammasi Thevar, Male, aged 41 years who is detained at Central Prison, Madurai, before this Court and set him at liberty.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the detenu viz., A.Ramar had passed away while in custody on 17.04.2025. He has also furnished a copy of the death certificate to that effect.
