PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.11.2023. ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner. 2.The case of the petitioner is that his grandmother, Arammal executed a Will in respect of her self acquired property in S.Nos.252/1, 252/5, 252/7 and 19/3 of Chullerumbu Village, Dindigul District in his favour and that his paternal uncle is often trespassing into his property and also claiming right over the same. It is his submission that on 08.11.2023, the petitioner's paternal uncle threatened the petitioner with dire consequences and in this regard, he has lodged a complaint with the second respondent police on 08.11.2023. Since no action was taken, he has filed the present petition seeking police protection to him.

3.Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would contend that the petitioner's complaint was registered in CSR.No.56/2024 and it is pending for enquiry. 4.In such circumstances, the second respondent/the Inspector of Police, Vedasandur Police Station, Dindigul District, is directed to complete the enquiry 2/4

and pass further orders in CSR.No.56/2024, as expeditiously as possible. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
