The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondents to provide police protection to him on the basis of his representation dated 09.12.2020.

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contended that the petitioner is the Founder/President of AIMK party and that his representation dated 09.12.2020 to the respondents seeking police protection to him, did not evoke any response.

Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would contend that the representation submitted by the petitioner was considered and rejected on merits by the Inspector of Police, Thuvakkudi Police Station, Trichy. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) also contended that the very same petitioner filed another Crl.OP.(MD)No.21612 of 2018 seeking for police protection on the basis of his earlier representation dated 19.09.2018 and the same was dismissed by this Court vide orders dated 15.11.2019.

4. Recording the submissions of Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
