Respondents [R3 is suo motu impleaded vide order dated 10.10.2023] Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, by directing the second respondent to complete the proceedings in O.Mu.No.5210/17/N, dated 07.10.2017, within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court, by considering petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2017 and to provide Patta in respect of his properties in Survey No.22/6B2B1 of Muthuramalingam Nagar, Vilangudi Village, North Taluk of Madurai District.

ORDER
The District Revenue Officer, Madurai, is suo motu impleaded as third respondent in this Writ Petition.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner on 13.09.2017 and to issue Patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property in Survey No.22/6B2B1 at Vilangudi Village, Madurai District.
3. The petitioner is tracing title to the subject property from the year 1935 onwards. The petitioner had made an application for Patta and since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that there was some mistake at the time of UDR and therefore, the second respondent is going to submit a report before the District Revenue Officer, Madurai, in order to enable the second respondent to issue Patta in favour of the petitioner.

In the light of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to submit the report before the newly impleaded third respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the newly impleaded third respondent shall carry out the necessary correction and issue proceedings within a period of six months thereafter. On receipt of the proceedings from the third respondent, the second respondent shall act upon the same and take a decision with regard to issuance of Patta in favour of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of proceedings from the third respondent.
