O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeus Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to produce the body or person of the detenue by name Dhanalakshmi, W/o. Lingaprabu aged about 21 years and produce her before this Court and set her at liberty.
2. The petitioner is the husband of the detenu. The detenue by name Dhanalakshmi aged about 21 years is found missing from the house of the petitioner, therefore the petitioner lodged complaint before the third respondent and the same has been registered in Crime No.6 of 2026 under 'woman missing'. During investigation it was found that the detenue was taken custody by her parents. Immediately the third respondent rescued her.
3. Today the detenue was produced before this Court. We enquired the detenue. She deposed that she got married with the petitioner and they are living happily. Both belong to different community and as such her parents opposed their marriage. Now she is free from the hands of her parents and living with the petitioner herein. She does not feel any apprehension from the hands of her parents.
4. Recording the same, the Habeus Corpus Petition stands closed. However, if any complaint lodged by the petitioner or the detenue before the third respondent with regard to threat from the hands of their parents , the third respondent is directed to take appropriate action on the complaint given either by the petitioner or detenue in accordance with law.
