ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.11.2025 and to correct North-South measurement from 2.4 meter into 4 meter in Old Natham Survey Nos.352 and 353, New Natham Survey No.766/17, situated at Subramania Swami Kovil Street, Murappanadu.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the property in question originally belonged to the petitioner's father, namely, Parvathi Nathan, and upon his demise, the property devolved upon all his legal heirs by succession. Due to an apparent clerical and measurement error in the revenue records, the North-South measurement of the petitioner's property has been wrongly recorded as 2.4 meters instead of the actual measurement of 4 meters. In order to rectify the said discrepancy, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 19.11.2025 to the respondent, requesting correction of the measurement in the revenue records. Despite the representation, the respondent

has failed to consider or pass any orders on the petitioner's request. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and appropriate orders will be passed and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation 19.11.2025, on merits and and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
