PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.14 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 296(b), 115(2) and 85 BNS (hereinafter referred to as new penal code) in Crime No.14 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant who married A1 was treated with cruelty.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that there is a matrimonial dispute which had taken place within one year from the date of marriage and the defacto complainant is now seven months pregnant, the respondent Police is directed to follow the procedure adumbrated under Section 35 of BNSS Act.

5.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
