Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 to issue House Tax Receipt to petitioner's house, situated at Survey No.138/2B and 138/3 at Keelatheru, Manakkal Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy Distirct, by the way of considering petitioner's representation, dated 09.12.2020. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 to issue House Tax Receipt for the property belonging to the petitioner, by considering the representation made by him on 09.12.2020.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, submitted that if the petitioner is able to produce the necessary documents, the same will be considered and if he is found eligible, the property will be assessed and the House Tax Receipt will also be issued in his favour.

3. In the light of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the President of Manakkal Panchayat, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District, along with all the relevant documents. The same shall be considered and a decision shall be taken with respect to issuance of House Tax Receipt for the property, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the representation from the petitioner.
