The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the second respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.17 of 2023 and to file a final report within a stipulated time. 1/4

2. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the investigation in Crime No.17 of 2023 of CCD-III Police Station, Madurai City, is still pending.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the second respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report/referred charge sheet, as the case may be in Crime No.17 of 2023 as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
