ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the online Natham records, by deleting the classification of 'Government land' relating to Natham Survey No.1064/25, measuring to an extent of 66 Sq. meters, situated in L.N.S.Village (Thirukampuliyur), Karur Taluk, Karur, and incorporate the petitioner's name in the said online records, by considering the Natham Manaivari Thoraya Patta No.29, issued by the fourth respondent, and also consider the petitioner's representations, dated 24.06.2024, 16.08.2024, and 04.11.2024.

2. The petitioner purchased the subject property from one Vasantha under a registered sale deed, dated 06.12.2023. In pursuance of the same, Natham Manaivari Thoraya Patta No.29 was issued to the petitioner on 08.12.2023. The Government, vide G.O.Ms.No.221, dated 04.05.2023, directed the revenue department, including respondents 2 to 4, to computerize the Natham records in Tamil Nilam online record. While doing so, the authorities mistakenly classified the petitioner's Natham Survey No.1064/25 as Government land. The petitioner, therefore, made representations, dated 24.06.2024 and 16.08.2024, to the respondents, requesting the first respondent to rectify the said mistake and reclassify the land as Natham land in the online records. As no action was taken on the petitioner's representations, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. It is seen that the petitioner sent first representation on 24.06.2024, requesting the first respondent to rectify the mistake in the online records. In spite the said representation, no action was taken and, thereafter, the petitioner sent two other representations, dated 16.08.2024 and 04.11.2024 to the respondents. Even thereafter, no action was taken by the respondents.

4. Under the circumstances, I direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 16.08.2024 and 04.11.2024, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, by affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 24.01.2025 NCC :
