ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to take necessary action against the respondents 3 and 4 and return her money based on petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2024 made to the respondents 1 and 2 by registered post, due within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court
2. The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner has paid a sum of Rs. Rs.3,00,000/- through DD and one lakh by cash to one Karuppaiah. The amount was received for getting job. When it was questioned he informed that he will hand over the money and thereafter he failed to do so. Hence he had lodged a complaint, since no action has been taken, the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner after lodging complaint had not appeared for enquiry despite several reminders. Finding the cause of action arose within the jurisdiction of Theni, the respondent police has not taken action. When 2/5
the petitioner asked the information through RTI query the same was informed to the petitioner that the petitioner has to approach the jurisdiction police namely Theni Police Station. After this the present petition has been filed.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner may be directed to give a copy of the complaint dated 10.11.2024 to the Superintendent of Police, Theni and the District Crime Branch, Theni
5. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to give a copy of the complaint to the District Crime Branch, Theni who shall conduct enquiry and dispose of the same in accordance with law.
6. With the above direction the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
