This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to remove the name of the eighth respondent from the patta issued to the petitioner in Patta No. 4116 in respect of land in New Survey No. 47/2B (Old Survey No. 47/2), to an extent of 1.30 acres, situated at Pothurawathampatti Village, Krishnarayapuram Taluk, Karur District and further to restrain the respondents from including the names of respondents 5 to 8 in any revenue records pertaining to the petitioner's self-owned and acquired land.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 11.10.2023 to the respondents seeking to remove the name of the eighth respondent from the patta issued to the petitioner in Patta No.4116 pertaining to the properties referred to above. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4, submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.
5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent/ Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The third respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, respondents 5 to 8 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry.
