ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by PUSHPA SATHYANARAYANA, J.) The writ petition is for a Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to close the Police Firing Range situate at Narthamalai Village, Pudukkottai District and shift it to some other remote place by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2022.

According to the petitioner, the training session of the shooting for the police personnel is conducted in the Narthamalai Village and when the firing is being done, the bullets travel even for 21⁄2 kilometers from the Firing Range. It in fact if had killed one small boy who was hurt by the bullet. Therefore, the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition.

The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that the said Firing Range at Narthamalai Village, Pudukottai District, has been permanently closed with effect from 31.12.2021 and the said place will not be used for giving shooting training to the police personnel in future. 4.
Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
