For Respondent : Mr.A.Robinson, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- for Anticipatory bail in Crime No. 62 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 8(c) r/w. 20(a)(i) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act 1985, in Crime No.62 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the accused in this case have been engaged in cultivation of Ganja over 72 cents of land in Mamarathupatti, Krishnarayapuram Taluk. The Ganja plants have been plucked and their destruction is waiting for the orders of the Court. 4. The petitioner's counsel would claim that the petitioner is a cook by profession and that he was only acting as a cook for the main accused. The prosecution would however allege that it was the petitioner who was having the knowledge of Ganja cultivation and that is why he was brought from Aundipatti Taluk.

5. The allegations made against the petitioner are serious. This is not the case in which anticipatory bail can be granted. I am not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner. The criminal original petition stands dismissed.
