Respondents in both petitions Common Prayer :- These Petitions filed under section 482 of Code of Criminal procedure to direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to make further investigation of the case in Cr. No. 984/2011 dated 17.06.2011 which was registered by the 4th respondent and file final report before the concerned J.M. court within the time limit may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER:

These Petitions coming up for hearing on this day, upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 13.06.2017 and the requisition letter of the Additional District Judge,Virudhunagar, in D.No.896 dated 04.09.2020,this Court made the following order :- This Court, by order dated 13.06.2017, directed the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Virudhunagar, to complete the trial in S.C.No.39 of 2012, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.

2. Now, vide letter dated 04.09.2020, a request has been made by the learned Additional District Judge, Virudhunagar, seeking extension of three months time, stating that the case is pending for filing counter and due to lock down owing to COVID-19 pandemic situation, trial could not be conducted, within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. Considering the request made, time granted by this Court, vide order dated 13.06.2017, in Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.14801 of 2014 and 11044 of 2016, is extended by three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that no further extension will be granted.
