ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.115 of 2021 of Thachanallur Police Station, Tirunelveli City.

2.The petitioner lodged a complaint with the second respondent police way back in the year 2021 stating that the accused took shuttering materials on rent from him and instead of returning them to him sold the same to one Muthuraj. According to him, though his complaint was registered as FIR in crime number 115/2021 of Thachanallur Police Station, till date there is no progress and therefore, prayed for directing the second respondent to expedite the investigation.

3.Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the police is investigating the case in Crime No.115 of 2021 and they would complete the same within a period of 6 months. 4.Considering the year of the complaint, the second respondent is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.115 of 2021 and file a final 2/4

report/Referred Charge Sheet, as the case may be, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/from the date of uploading the copy of this order in the official web-site of this Court. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
