Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent, to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 13.12.2017 for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420, 294(b), 506(i) of IPC and Section 3 (1) (r), 3 (1)(s) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act 2015.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent, to register the case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 13.12.2017.

2.Heard Mr.I.Pinaygash, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Prabu Ramachandran, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is practicing as an Advocate and he belongs to Scheduled Caste. He further submitted that the proposed accused namely Palani has purchased goats from the petitioner and his father in the year 2014 for a sum of Rs.40,000/-. not pay the amount, when the same was questioned by the petitioner, the said Palani criminally intimidated the petitioner by mentioning the petitioner's caste in the public view. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 13.12.2017, but so far, no action has been taken. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the complaint is still pending for enquiry. 4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to enquire the matter and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
