ORDER

The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant permission to him to conduct 'light music' programme in connection with "Sri Arulmigu Mupidathiamman temple and Arulmigu Sandhanamari Amman temple" festival, Gopalasamudram, Cheranmahadevi Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

2.Mr.R.Rajeshkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the representation, dated 21.01.2021 submitted by the petitioner was rejected by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.02/Se.Mu.A/U.Ka.Ka/Cherai/2021, dated 23.01.2021 citing the present COVID-19 pandemic situation.

3.Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner can approach the first respondent with a fresh petition, since certain relaxation are permitted for conduct of temple festival.

No.1492 of 2021 4.Recording the aforesaid submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file a fresh petition to the first respondent and on submission of the same, the first respondent shall pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the said petition.
