ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate steps on the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2025 and consequently, direct the third and fourth respondents not to harass him and his family.

2. The petitioner has sent a representation on 09.01.2025 to the respondents stating that the third and fourth respondents had called the petitioner for enquiry asked him money. Further, the petitioner is only a coolie wager and he is not involved in any lottery business, but still the harassment continues,hence the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there are around six cases pending against the petitioner. The petitioner was called only for the purpose of enquiry, which cannot be termed as harassment. 2/5

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is ready to appear before the respondent police for enquiry on 31.01.2025.

5. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police for enquiry on 31.01.2025 without fail and thereafter the respondent police to complete the enquiry within a period of two months from 31.01.2025.

6. With the above direction this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
