The petitioner seeks a survey of his patta lands at S.F.No. 134/9F measuring 0.12.0 Ares at Aranyanipatti Revenue Village, Kandarvakottai Taluk, Pudukottai District. Adjacent to the lands of the petitioner, there is a Cart track.

2. It is complained that the respondents tried to put up a cart-track, even in the patta land of the petitioner herein. Therefore, the petitioner had given an application seeking survey of his lands.

3. The respondents are directed to survey the lands of the petitioner, but the cart-track should remain as before and that cannot be obliterated because it will be useful for the general public. Leaving out the cart track, the lands of the petitioner may be surveyed. If there is a policy decision taken to widen the cart-track, then, necessary steps may 2/4

be taken by the respondents, in accordance with the procedure established by law.

4. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
