ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY,J.] The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take speedy steps to conduct the Indirect Election for the post of Vice Chairman - Union Committee, Manapparai Panchayat Union, held during the Local Body Election - 2019 at the earliest within a time frame as stipulated by this Court and take appropriate and necessary stern disciplinary action against the fourth respondent. 2.Mr.Raja Karthikeyan, learned counsel takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 2 and 3 and submitted that the State Election Commission had notified the reelection for the post of Vice Chairman, Union Committee, Manapparai Panchayat Union, on 30.01.2020 and that the election scheduled to be conducted on the said date.

3.In these circumstances, the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous.

4.So far as taking action against the fourth respondent is concerned, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents 1 and 2. It is open to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the same.

5.With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
