O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to survey the petitioner's land by metes and bounds in Survey Nos.654/2, 654/3, 654/4 and 655/3, measuring an extent of 0.31.50 hectares, situated at Singampunari, Sivagangai District and further directing the third and fourth respondents to provide necessary police protection while conducting such survey, based on the petitioner's representations dated 25.08.2025 and 09.10.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No. 2 of 5
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the representations have been submitted for the survey of the property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions, would submit that after consideration of the claims of the parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
5. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the first and second respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 25.08.2025 and 09.10.2025, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after consideration of the claims of all parties including the third respondent and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the Page No. 3 of 5
land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties and that if required, police assistance may be taken.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
