This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent, to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 15.12.2016.

2.Heard Mr.T.Vadivelan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Prabu Ramachandran, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that on 13.12.2016, the proposed accused persons attacked the petitioner with deadly weapons and also criminally intimidated him. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 15.12.2016, but sofar, no action has been taken.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the enquiry is still pending.

5.Considering the fact that the complaint is pending from 13.12.2016, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law. In case, the enquiry reveals that it is in civil dispute, then he has to direct the petitioner to approach the civil Court. The aforesaid exercise should be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
