Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying to direct the respondents to give police protection to survey the petitioner's land in S.No.389/17, 18 situated at Nattarpatti, Akkiampatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District.

Heard both sides.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed a Writ Petition(MD)No.7757 of 2015 to direct the Tahsildar, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District to survey the petitioner's land in S.F.Nos.389/17 & 18 situated at Akkiyampatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District. He further submitted that at the time of surveying the land, one Palanichamy has continued to disturb the said survey and threatened the petitioner with dire consequences and hence, the petitioner preferred a complaint on 08.06.2015 to the second respondent seeking police protection, but so far, no order has been passed and hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief.

3. Resisting the same, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.

Side) on instructions would submit that they have not received any representation seeking police protection and hence, he prays for dismissal of this petition.

4. Considering the rival submissions made on both sides, since the second respondent has stated that they have not received any representation seeking police protection, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh petition before the second respondent and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
