ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner, being a Member of the Scheduled Caste category, made a request to the first respondent to allot a land. The first respondent has forwarded the request of the petitioner to the Special Tahsildar, Adidravidar Welfare Department, Palani, dated 26.03.2019. The Special Tahsildar, Adidravidar Welfare Department, Palani, has sent a communication to the second respondent dated 30.04.2019 stating that the said authority will have to take appropriate action, as the land in question comes within the jurisdiction of the second respondent. The petitioner, once again, made a representation to the first respondent on 11.03.2020 and in view of the inaction, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Considering the above, we deem it appropriate to direct the second respondent to act upon the communication of the Special Tahsildar, Adidravidar Welfare Department, Palani, dated 30.04.2019, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if any already done. Based upon the same, the first respondent shall take consequential action, within a further period of six weeks thereafter.

3. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
