O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 12.02.2018.

2. Heard Mr.M.Jothi Basu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Prabhu Ramachandran, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that on 08.02.2018, the proposed accused persons have assaulted the petitioner's mother and also taken away 6 sovereigns jewels and with regard to the said occurrence the petitioner has lodged a complaint 12.02.2018, but sofar, no action has been taken. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that after receipt of the complaint, CSR.No.21 of 2018 has been issued and the enquiry is still pending.

5.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law.

6.With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
