This writ petition is filed challenging the notice issued under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that as against the notice issued under Section 6 of the Act, the petitioner has preferred a statutory appeal under Section 10 of the Act, before the first respondent/District Collector, on 10.01.2026. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to pursue the appeal. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, the District Collector, Virudhunagar District, is directed to consider the petitioner's 2/4

appeal and pass orders on merit and in accordance with law, within a period of four(4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
