This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to issue call letter so as to permit the petitioner to attend the seminar scheduled on 23.01.2023 and the interview on 24.01.2023 for the post of Professor in IIIT, Tiruchirappalli to be conducted by the respondent and also to declare the result forthwith.
2. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has participated in the selection process to the post of Professor in IIIT, Tiruchirappalli. However, the interview call letter was not sent to the petitioner. Hence, she made an application to the respondent on 30.11.2022. But, till date, no order was passed. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the aforesaid prayer.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondent is directed to dispose of the application of the petitioner, dated 30.11.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 30.11.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 20.01.2023 NCC: Yes / No Index : Yes / No Speaking Order : Yes / No vji Note: Issue order copy by 20.01.2023.
