COMMON PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the Fast Track Court No.I( Magistrate Level), Madurai to dispose the STC Nos.903 and 902 of 2016 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Honourable Court. For Petitioner : Mr.B. Karunanithi ( In both petitions) COMMON ORDER These petitions have been filed seeking direction to direct the Fast Track Court No.I( Magistrate Level), Madurai to dispose the trial proceedings in STC Nos.903 and 902 of 2016 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Honourable Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the complainant in both cases for the offences under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act. He would submit that the petitioner has let in evidence and the case is posted for cross examination and the respondent/ accused is taking unnecessary adjournment and the case is adjourned for the past eight months for cross examination. He would further submit that right of speedy trial is the constitutional guarantee granted to the complainant.

3. Under such circumstances, there shall be a direction to the Fast Track Court No.I( Magistrate Level), Madurai to dispose the cases pending in STC Nos.903 and 902 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from the next hearing date and report compliance to this court after completion of the proceedings.

4. With the above direction, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
