The present writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus directing the first respondent to reissue the passport based upon the petitioner's application dated 05.12.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.106/2016, which has culminated in filing of charge sheet in C.C.No.271 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai, Thanjavur.

3. Considering the abovesaid facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial court seeking permission to go abroad. If such 2/4

application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within four (4) weeks from the date of application. Based upon the orders to be passed by the concerned trial court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.
