ORDER

This Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by him dated 13.12.2017.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has invested a sum of Rs.1,20,000/- in one Deepam Capitals and Deepam Finance at Karur in which one Mahesh and Thangavel are the Partners. He further submitted that the said deposit attained maturity on 10.06.2016 and therefore, the petitioner has approached the aforesaid person to repay the maturity amount, but they did not repay the amount and thereby, they have cheated the petitioner. Hence, he has sent the complaint by registered post to the first respondent requesting to take appropriate action against the above said persons, but the second respondent has not registered the case so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that the said complaint was received by the second respondent only on 06.01.2018 and the same is pending enquiry.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals that any cognizable offences is made out, he has to register the case and proceed in accordance with law.

5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
