(Order of the Court was made by V. BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is the father of the detenue and alleging that the petitioner's daughter by name Divya, aged about 19 years, is found missing from 26.12.2020, the petitioner is said to have given a complaint before the second respondent police. Even though an F.I.R has been registered in Crime No.2027 of 2020, so far no action has been taken by the second respondent police to secure the detenue. Hence, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.S.Ravi, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State, on instructions would submit that the detenue has been secured and the investigation reveals that the detenue eloped with the third respondent and they https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P(MD)No.137 of 2021 are living separately and now, she is five months pregnant.
3. Considering the fact that the detenue is a major and is living with the third respondent and she is five months pregnant, recording the submissions of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
