The instant writ petition has been filed by a Special Security in Arulmigu Radhakrishnan Temple, Thingal Nagar, Kanyakumari District, seeking a mandamus to direct the first respondent to refix the salary of the petitioner.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner was appointed on compassionate grounds, in view of the death of her husband in the year 2014. The petitioner was initially appointed on the consolidated pay. As per G.O.Ms.No.29, Tourism Culture and HR&CE Department, dated 19.01.2023, the petitioner is entitled to time scale of pay. The request of the petitioner has been accepted by the second respondent and a proposal has been forwarded by the second respondent to the first respondent by way of proceedings dated 23.01.2024. So far, the first respondent has not passed any orders, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4
3. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the proposal submitted by the second respondent on 23.01.2024, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
