When the matter was taken up for hearing today, Mr.T.Aswin Raja Simman, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the relief sought in the present writ petition has become infructuous in view of the petitioner's subsequent promotion and her retirement upon attaining the age of superannuation.

2. In light of the above, this Writ Petition is closed as infructuous. No costs.
