ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in connection with Crime No.230 of 2015 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Paramakudi within the time limit.

2. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.230 of 2015 on 04.06.2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 324, 342, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC., and 3(1) of PPDL Act. However, the respondent has not shown any interest to investigate the matter and lay a final report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above.

4. Resisting the same, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that investigation is going on and hence, he seeks time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

Considering the submissions made on both sides and also considering the fact that the alleged occurrence took place on 04.06.2015 and on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, after due enquiry, the case in Crime No.230 of 2015 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 324, 342, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC., and 3(1) of PPDL Act., this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.230 of 2015 and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.

6. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
