This petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for a direction to direct the respondents to take necessary action based on the petitioner's complaint dated 01.08.2015 and thereby provide adequate police protection to the petitioner. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side).
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner married one Kunasekarapandian on 17.11.2014 against the wishes of her parents. He further submitted that now, she apprehends life threat to her and her husband for which, she has given a representation dated 01.08.2015 to the
respondents seeking police protection and since the same has not been considered so far, she has come up with the present petition for the relief stated supra.
4.Resisting the same, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that one Mohamed Ali, father of the petitioner has given a complaint for missing of his daughter on 31.01.2015 and on that basis, a case has been registered in Crime No.294 of 2015 under the caption of women missing, by the third respondent, which is now pending.
5.Considering the rival submissions made on both sides, since the petitioner, who is a muslim by birth has married one Gunasekarapandian, she apprehends life threat and in such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.08.2015, within 7 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
